THE BASE is designed for movement, training and active days. Its low-cut construction combines the natural comfort of merino wool with technical fibres that provide support and durability without unnecessary height around the ankle.

The close-fitting construction helps keep the sock securely in place inside your shoe, while the lightweight fabric provides comfort and freedom of movement without feeling thick or bulky.

The combination of breathable merino wool and moisture-managing technical fibres helps release excess heat and moisture. This keeps your feet dry, fresh and comfortable during workouts, walks and everyday movement.

41% Wool (Merino), 30% Polyamide, 27% Polypropylene, 2% Elastane

Wool (merino) provides natural softness, temperature regulation and odour resistance. Polypropylene is lightweight and transports moisture quickly, helping your feet stay dry, fresh and comfortable during activity.

Polyamide adds strength and durability, while elastane provides stretch and helps the sock retain its close, supportive fit during movement.

Together, these materials create a low-cut technical sports sock that combines natural merino comfort with moisture management, support and reliable durability.

  • Wash the socks inside out at 30°C with a mild detergent, preferably in our laundry bag and on a low spin cycle

Ik was al fan van het hoge model en draag die met heel veel plezier. Nu voor het eerst het lage model geprobeerd tijdens het sporten en ik ben ook daar superblij mee! Ze zitten echt heerlijk en doordat ze lager zijn, knellen ze nergens. Perfect voor de warmere dagen. Echt een aanrader!

MERINO FOR EVERYONE

We're two brothers who got fed up with socks that turn damp within an hour, lose their shape after a few washes and are back in the wash after a single day.

It came to a head over a few active days in France. One of us had merino socks on, the other cotton out of a multipack. By the end of day two there was no argument about which had won.

Back home, we started digging into merino. Turns out you mostly find it at specialist outdoor brands, or dressed up as a luxury product with the price tag to match.

So we started WALK IT OFF. We found a manufacturer in Portugal and built a sock with everything merino has going for it, for a lot less money.

No more throwaway socks. Just proper merino socks that feel good, hold their shape and are built to stay.

Does Merino wool itch?

No. Our merino wool has an extremely fine fibre, making it soft to the touch and non-itchy — even for sensitive skin.
Don't your feet get sweaty quickly?

No. Merino wool wicks away moisture incredibly fast and dries quicker than cotton, keeping your feet fresh and dry all day.
Can they go in the washing machine?

Yes. Wash at 30°C or on a wool cycle. Do not tumble dry. For best care, use our laundry bag. This will help them stay beautiful for longer.

How often should you wash merino socks?

Merino wool is naturally odour-resistant. You don't have to wash them as often as cotton socks. Airing them out is often enough.
How do the sizes fit?

Our socks fit true to size. Between two sizes? Choose the smaller size for the best fit.
Are WALK IT OFF socks durable?

Yes. Merino is natural, renewable, biodegradable and does not shed microplastics. In addition, our socks last longer → less waste.
Do merino socks pill or fuzz easily?

Merino wool may pill slightly during the first few wears — this is normal. After a few washes, the fiber stabilizes and the sock will remain looking good.
