Cotton soaks up moisture and holds on to it. Merino wool does the
opposite: it moves moisture away and
regulates the temperature of your foot — warm when
it's cold, cool when it heats up.
That's why around 40% of THE ACTIVE & THE BASE
is premium merino wool. Not because it looks good on the label, but
because it's the reason everything below holds up.

Dry feet, from morning to after the gym
Almost everything that goes wrong in a sock starts with moisture:
damp feet, friction, blisters, and a day that starts tugging at
your toes.
That's why we combine merino wool with
polypropylene — a fibre that moves moisture out
fast — and breathable zones where your foot works
hardest. Your feet stay dry, even when the day doesn't.

“I play a lot of padel and used to get blisters pretty quickly
after a match. These socks fit great and I don't get blisters
after a match any more. Highly recommended!”

They don't start to smell. Not even on day two.
Merino wool is naturally inhospitable to the
bacteria that cause odour. Where a cotton sock announces itself
after a long day, merino stays fresh.
Which means you can wear them for longer stretches
without anyone noticing. Handy when travelling, in a gym bag, or
just on a Monday that runs long.

“I now wear THE ACTIVE for walking, for sport and just to the
office. They feel wonderfully soft, they stay in place and my
feet feel far less clammy. Even after a long day they still smell
fresh. Absolutely recommended!”

Strong where needed. Soft where it matters.
A good sock is not a piece of fabric with a shape. Every part does
something:
1Seamless toe — no seam rubbing against your
toes, and so no place for a blister to start
2Functional cuff that holds without pinching,
so the sock stays where it belongs
3Nylon reinforcement at heel and toe, the
places that wear hardest, for shape retention wash after wash
4Targeted cushioning under the foot, right on
the pressure points
The merino wool is knitted together with nylon and a touch of
elastane, which give the sock its structure and spring. The result
is light compression: more cushioning, less
slipping, and a fit that still sits like day one after the wash.

Mulesing-free. No exceptions.
Merino wool is only as good as the way it is obtained. The wool we
use is completely mulesing-free — the sheep are
not put through the procedure that is still common in this
industry.
That is a deliberate choice, and not the cheapest one. You won't
notice it in the sock: just as strong, just as soft, lasting just
as long.
The same quality, without the part you would rather not think
about.
Finally
Washing less adds up to more than you'd think.
Because they stay fresh for longer, they go into the machine less
often. That saves water and energy — and it saves the sock itself,
because washing is where socks really wear out.
Every wash you skip is a wash that uses no water and puts no fibres
into the wastewater.
Wash less. Replace less.

The high model
THE ACTIVE
Extra coverage, targeted cushioning and a secure fit. For
movement, long days and feet that work hard.
“I was already a fan of the high model and wear it with a lot of
pleasure. Now I tried the low model for the first time while doing
sports and I'm just as happy with it! They feel really great and
because they're lower, they don't pinch anywhere. Perfect for the
warmer days. Highly recommended!”
